A KVM switch (with KVM being an abbreviation for Keyboard, Video or Visual Display Unit, Mouse) is a hardware device that allows a user to control multiple computers from a single keyboard, video monitor and mouse. Some KVM switches can also function in reverse - that is, a single PC can be connected to multiple monitors, keyboards, and mice.
Our range of convertors can be used to connect your parallel devices to a serial port or serial devices to a parallel port. These converters allow Centronics and RS-232 devices to communicate with each other and DB-25 RS-232C (DCE) and 36pin Centronics devices to communicate with each other.
A VGA multiplier is a simple electronic adapter that can be very useful to audio/visual enthusiasts. It takes the video signal coming from a given computer and multiplies it, allowing the single signal to be used on a variety of different monitors. VGA multipliers come in many different shapes and sizes, but the most common types offer two, four, or eight new ports in addition to the original port. | |
